[07/28/10] A Note From Steve

Hello and happy summer!

Good news for all of us!

BP appears to have finally been successful in capping their outrageous leak in the
Gulf!  By the way, this also means that THE OIL SONG hasn't required an update in
well over a week! Long may it last.

As a songwriter, keeping up with developments was getting to be a bit of a
challenge there for a while. To show you what I mean we'll post two
OIL SONG installments from the last two weeks--- a video from July 11
Maplewood, NJ and an audio from July 16 Jackson, MS.

Oh, God, there is, of course, that new spill in the Chinese port city of Dalian.
Wait!  Now there's also a million gallons leaking down the Kalamazoo River
toward Lake Michigan!

I suppose I travel as much as anyone this side of Hillary Clinton, Bob Dylan or
B B King.  However, the now popular musician-on-the-road daily twittering
thing doesn't really appeal to me.  For some reason, taking random photos
with my cell phone really does!

As you may have noticed, I am now (with Mike's help) in the habit of posting
several new snapshots (from here, there and yon) at least once a week. I enjoy
sharing these and appreciate the positive feedback I've been getting
regarding them!

Who knows? I may even be able to get a little gallery exhibit of "prints" together
at some point...possibly somewhere in New Jersey.

Meanwhile, perhaps I'll see you this month in Texas!

Sincerely,
Steve
