New Studio Album -- Now Available

Steve Forbert's new studio album, The
Place and the
Time, was released by 429 Records on March 31, 2009.
Paul Errico, Bobby Lloyd Hicks and Steve
Allen, all
members of the 2007 touring band (see
MERIDIAN DVD/CD), are on most of the tracks along
with special
guests Reggie Young, Anthony Crawford,
and Bekka
Bramlett. Robby Turner plays bass,
additional
keyboards and National Steel Guitar.
Recording began in late May 2008 and mastering was completed on January 7, 2009 with Jim DeMain at Yes Master in Nashville.
Mike Ragogna wrote a review of The Place and the Time for HuffingtonPost.com and states that the new album is "all prime Steve Forbert who's writing at his best". Read the full review here and be sure to leave your
own comments on the album.
The Place and The Time is Steve Forbert's 13th Studio album --
counting the Jimmie Rodgers Tribute "Any Old Time" (his 14th if you count
the as-yet-unreleased 1983 Columbia album).
